My mother got pregnant with me in the late 60's by a man she eventually married and left. Like many of the boomer generation women she thought she could have it all. She did try, I have to give her credit for that. Don't get me wrong, I have many many fond memories of my mother growing up. But somewhere around my 12th birthday things started going seriously wrong between the two of us. Something that to this day is still broken.
This blog, the title, the cutesy use of N instead of in or and is due to the fact that my own daughter is now 12 and posts will be about all three generations.
Our Athena is strong, intelligent, bi-lingual and a heck of a basketball player. She is sandwiched between Ares, the 14 year old brother, whose ambition in life is to get paid to masturbate and play video games. Chaos is her giant of a six year old brother by her day to day daddy and I. Athena has other step and half siblings, Ares is her only full sibling.. gotta love what free love and no fault divorce has done to the family unit.
While I am a stay at home mom, living to make the most traditional home for my children,I am so not a conservative or religious person. Which in it's own way sucks.. so many of my peers are very conservative and religious.
